We’ve already reviewed the Afternoon Tea over Spring, but as the season changes, Cloud 23 brings a whole host of new activities to keep Mancunians coming back for cocktails and dizzying heights.
STYLE etc were lucky enough to attend the final instalment of the summer of music experience, Caribbean Night Carnival, the first music venue in the clouds.
The carnival themed night, with Caribbean music, salsa dancers and Caribbean Street food started at 8pm and went on into the night, overlooking the lights of the city. A hand crafted cocktail menu was curated with specials such as the Cuban Sling and Mangolicious alongside a rum based pineapple welcome drink for two. The street food had authentic Caribbean options such as jerk chicken roll and the curried goat wrap which were delicious and full of flavour.
Throughout the evening salsa dancers performed to live music to start the party which continued into the early hours of the morning.
As the summer draws to a close and the summer of music experience finishes in style, the next instalment for an evening of indulgence at Cloud 23 is unveiled.
Bubbles and Berries is the Autumnal taste experience which you can be a part of through a indulgent afternoon tea or a five course cocktail progression with a tapas style menu.
Not ones to miss out on a taste of autumnal sampling, our team also went to preview the new aesthetic and menu of Bubbles and Berries and all of our autumn dreams came true.
Decked out to look the part, the scene was set in the Zeus Lounge with orange and gold leaves strewn from the windows, giving glimpse to the buildings impressive Manchester cityscape views.
The Five Course Cuisine takes an alternative shape on the British Afternoon Tea offering, with teapots swapped for cocktails and nibbles replaced with staggered courses set to complement each of the 5 dishes served. The drinks take a berry theme to suit the shift in season, with the accommodating food transitioning from aperitifs through to desserts.
