The Hearts & Minds Challenge are delighted to announce that they will be throwing their annual charity ball on November 29th at the Piccadilly Mercure Hotel with a dazzling Studio 54 theme.
Star TV personality and charity patron Melanie Sykes will be hosting the decadent event; from 6.30pm until late, party guests can expect an extraordinary evening of vintage glamour, disco entertainment, elegant dining, delectable drinks and musical delights with a chic seventies dress code.
90s girl band Cleopatra will be making a comeback to headline the sparkly soirée with an exclusive vocal set – the Manchester based trio made up of Cleo Higgins and sisters Yonah and Zainam haven’t performed together since 2002.
Lead singer Cleo, who is an Ambassador for Hearts & Minds Challenge, says the time has come for the group to reform and is delighted to be performing at the ball:
“I can’t wait to get back onstage with my sisters and we have a real treat in store for fans. It’s been such a long time since we have performed as a group and extra special as we know that we are doing it for such a worthy charity. We love this year’s theme as the whole Studio 54 era was soulful and chic and that’s what we are all about.”

The King of Disco, Brutus Gold will also be performing alongside the Love Train, the medallion stallion will be delivering a selection of groove classics and disco on the dance floor.
All proceeds from the ball will go towards raising money and awareness for the Sale-based charity, which works hard to help and support families who have children with autism. In addition to Melanie Sykes, the charity’s celebrity patrons include former Manchester United player Paul Scholes, Boyzone and soap star Keith Duffy and X-Factor Winner Shayne Ward.
Tickets to the ball start at £80 with a selection of table packages available. For more information or to book, email Cheryl Broadfoot at [email protected]
