After undergoing a makeover, GBK has reopened in the Trafford Centre and we went along to check it out.
The fresh new restaurant, located in The Orient, will delight burger fans with its brand new look, with its mix of patterns and bench seating. This refurbished GBK will also welcome a party booth complete with a geometric look, perfect for special occasions!
Customers will be spoilt for choice with the full GBK menu being dished up in the restaurant, including favourites The Taxidriver, American cheese, onion ring, Cajun relish, smoked chilli mayo, dill pickle and salad; The Camemburger, Camembert, hash brown, truffle mayo, onion jam and relish and The Blazing Sombrero; Smoked Cheddar, chorizo relish, tortilla chips, house mayo, rocket, pickled onion. All of which come enclosed in a delicious brioche bun.
We tucked into one of their most popular burgers, Cheese and Bacon which included Smoked Cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, BBQ sauce, house mayo, dill pickle and salad with a side of Skinny Fries. One of things that is so good about GBK is the fact that they ask you how you would like your burger cooked so we went for medium to ensure the burger was extra tasty and juicy!
Our trip to GBK wouldn’t be complete without trying one of its delicious milkshakes! We opted for their Honeycomb milkshake and it comes topped with crunchy pieces! It was delicious and makes a great alternative to a pudding if you can’t fit one in!
GBK prides itself on creating and serving a variety of handcrafted gourmet burgers from fresh ingredients and sauces made from scratch, every day, in each GBK kitchen. All GBK burgers are made from 100% prime beef, reared and grass fed on independent farms across the South West counties.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample the special of the month, which is the X Burger, a meat treat inspired by Brazilian flavours. Available until the 12th of August, this burger includes cheddar, grilled pineapple, innovative baconnaise, fresh chilies, crispy onion and a spicy Cajun relish.
Laura Pettingale, Marketing Manager for Gourmet Burger Kitchen, said: “The Trafford Centre restaurant has always been a popular one, and it’s in a great location. We felt it was time it got a little bit of love and a fresh new look. This GBK restaurant is a fashionable yet comfortable environment, perfect for shoppers who want a burger fix to break up their day of retail therapy.”
Next time you’re at the Trafford Centre, make sure you take the weight off your feet and tuck in to a juicy burger at GBK in the Orient.
