Online jewellery and accessories retailer Hoochie Mama have released a series of exclusive video interviews with contemporary British designers.
In three separate interviews, UK based Cabinet Studios, The Branch and Cinderela B all discuss how their brands got started and where they get the inspiration from for their collections.
The Branch carves exquisite forms from wood then combines them with luxury metals and materials to create natural unique pieces. This interview is with their Creative Director, Wendy Pickard and she tells us how travelling inspired her first collection.
Cabinet Studios is currently on tour with Swarovski Elements with their luxurious designs inspired by tropical beaches and natural forms. We caught up with their Founder and Design Director, Gemma Critchley, who tells us how she got into jewellery making.
Cinderela B source and create all their designs in the UK and are highly influenced by the vibrancy of Southern America. Their video is with Sophie Tanner, Production Manager and Freya Nicholson, Studio Manager, who tell us the meaning behind the companies name.
The videos are the first in a series of online interviews with exciting jewellery and accessories designers from across Great Britain that Hoochie Mama plan to publish on an ongoing basis.
Hoochie Mama hopes that the videos will connect customers with new brands that have truly unique backgrounds and great stories behind their collections.
Founded by Katrina Urwin last summer, Hoochie Mama aims to bring a little bit of bling to everyone’s wardrobe.
“We’re very keen to do all we can to help customers find the right gift either for themselves or their partners, friends and family, so illustrating the back story to brands and their collections helps build a picture around the pieces they are buying and give them added meaning and sentimental value.”
