October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, a campaign organized annually by various breast cancer charities in a bid to raise awareness as well as to raise funds for research into cause, prevention and cure, offering information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
Hundreds of events are organised over the month (known as Pinktober in reference to the pink breast cancer ribbon symbol) including sponsored walks, Quiz nights and even a Great Pink Bake-off!
