The Most Wanted and The It List Awards 2012

Presented by Creative HEAD and sponsored in 2012 by hair superpower ghd, The It List represents hairdressing’s hottest aged 30 and under.

The Most Wanted and The It List Grand Finals took place on 3 September at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. With 15 awards including Most Wanted Hair Icon, Best Local Salon, The It List Fashionista and coveted It Girl and It Guy titles, it’s the biggest night in the hairdressing calendar. STYLEetc had nominee Ky Wilson report live from the evening! He gives us the lowdown and shares his pics:

Knowing that I was going to spend the whole night alongside some of the most respected and talented hair icons in this industry was good enough for me. Being nominated for the it guy award was just a bonus and I know only the start of my career!

Entering the royal courts of justice for the first time shouldn’t have felt this good and guilt free… but it did… afterall, it was show time!!

I was greeted by an explosion of expensive fragrance from everyone trying to mask the smell of anticipation, and guests were floating seamlessly in beautifully detailed dresses and dapper suits with everybody’s own take with what’s on trend and making it their own. That’s what it’s all about in this very creative industry and the fashion looks of the evening did not disappoint.

Wine and cocktails were sipped, fabulous food was consumed, and everybody seemed so keen in networking and catching up with old pals. This evening was made so much more special by the fact that I had a lot of friends who were also up for awards and I was routing for every one of them!

It was an amazing experience to be at the Most Wanted and The It List Awards 2012 and I’m not going to stop until I win the It Guy category.
