After the huge success of their first Wedding Fete in April, which showcased the regions finest suppliers in the industry, the fete returns to The Old Parsonage, on Stenner Lane in Didsbury this Sunday 29th September.
The day, which runs from 11am till 4pm, will have more than 15 local, high quality, independent businesses displaying everything you need to make your wedding extra special. From dresses and photographers to flowers and centre pieces, right down to the favours and stationary, the fete promises to deliver the best wedding specialists in the North West.
Beautiful bridal boutique, The White Closet, will be displaying stunning dresses from a range of UK designers including Jenny Packham and Charlotte Balbier. The boutique will also be bringing along a collection of bridesmaids dresses and shoes so that the whole of your bridal party can be decked out in style.
Make-up stylist to the stars, Lynette Page, will be launching her own makeup brand on the day and offering free makeovers to brides-to-be. Other companies sharing their expertise on the day include Black Ribbon Designs and Pebble in the Pond with some of their bespoke decorations, stationary and keepsakes and Cupids Treasure who create unique alternatives to the traditional veil.
And of course, a wedding fete wouldn’t be complete without wedding cake samples! The Cheshire Cat Cake Company will have examples of their amazing cakes for you to taste. But if you’re looking for something a little different, The Cheese Hamlet have some unusual ideas for you!
Ailish McDonnell, The Wedding Fate organiser has said that “The Wedding Fete stands out against the run-of-the-mill wedding fairs, showcasing the very best in what the wedding industry has to offer without having to travel far and wide. Everyone involved shares a similar thinking: working hard to deliver the best, with their reputation making them stand out from the crowd.”
As if all that wasn’t enough, Irish singer Nicky McCallan will be playing a live acoustic set through the day and there will goody bags filled with Molten Brown products and exclusive offers from the day’s exhibitors*. Competitions will also be running, with prizes including a luxury hamper from The Cheese Hamlet.
Entry to the fete is £1 which goes towards the Parsonage Trust for the upkeep of the Old Parsonage and its beautiful gardens
