On Wednesday 13th Novemeber, STYLEetc and other Manchester bloggers and writers, were treated to a tour of Spinningfields and all that the shops and bars have to offer this Christmas, as well as a special preview of their seasonal ice-rink and the Artisan Markets that are open every weekend in the run-up to Christmas!
In the beautiful surroundings of the Grand Pacific, part of the Australasia restaurant on Deansgate, we were treated to delicious Gingerbread Crush cocktails, a little taster of their Christmas cocktail collection.
Up next was a grand tour of The Avenue, Spinningfields on which we were informed of some of the Christmassy treats each of the shops has in store! The first stop was Mulberry, who are offering private consultation appointments with the store manager. They also showed us their gorgeous leather gift range including gloves and bracelets with the signature Mulberry lock. And what’s even better is the fact that they are offering a bespoke gift wrapping service to add that extra bit of Christmas sparkle!
The next stop on our tour was Armani, with their luxury leather and fur accessories, including these jewelled shoes, necklace and clutch bag for her. And not forgetting the men, we previewed the leather laser cut bag and shoes, perfect for the fashionable man in your life!
We were also treated to Flannels and the great range of designer pieces from Gucci to Mui Mui. They also have accessories for him and her that would make the perfect Christmas gift. For her we loved these colour pop bag’s and leopard print shoe’s, and for him we loved this Paul Smith leather wash bag and the Ralph Lauren multi pack’s of boxers and t-shirts.
After our stint of luxury window shopping we were treated to a fabulous Christmas reception in Hibernate Manchester. If we didn’t know any better we’d have thought we were sat in Santa’s grotto! The tables were decorated with beautiful festive bouquets adorned with red berries and thistles by talented florist David Wayman, as well as brightly coloured candy canes and mugs of spiced mulled wine, what a treat!
The fashion fun didn’t stop here of course! There were displays from Ted Baker’s stunning accessory range for him and her, as well as a bundle of Nicky Clarke products to drool over.
We were then treated to a pot of delicious chilli to warm us up and fill us with a bit of energy prior to our ice skating debuts! You may be disappointed to hear that we didn’t quite make it onto the ice (It was too cold!) but we watched, captivated by the professional dancing display as we sipped on wine from The Long Bar.
The evening was magical and filled us all with lots of Christmas excitement! You never know, we may even get our skates on and get on the ice before the New Year rolls around! We certainly recommend that you do!
