Peckforton Castle in Cheshire are celebrating adding another accolade to their growing roster. The hotel, wedding, conference and events venue have been awarded their 3rd AA Rosette for culinary excellence in their 1851 Restaurant.
The long-established Rosette scheme recognises successful cooking at different levels across the UK. Peckforton Castle joins an elite 10% of nationwide restaurants that have been bestowed with three Rosettes and above for their outstanding achievement.
The judging system assesses the dining experience as a whole, taking into consideration the quality and treatment of ingredients selected, flavour combinations, timing, seasoning, the wine list and the attentiveness of staff. All must meet a consistent standard of excellence to qualify for an award of three Rosettes.
Chris Naylor, Managing Director of Peckforton Castle praised the hard work of his team in achieving the status:
“This is a fantastic achievement for the Castle and something we have worked towards for the past 2 years. It is a testament to the creativity of our Head Chef Mark Ellis and our wonderful 1851 Restaurant team.
