Last weekend saw the fashion pack hit the capital but on Thursday they descended on Manchester for the M&S LFW Show! Taking our positions on the front row, we we’re treated to a glimpse of what the high street brand has to offer for SS15.
Since Belinda Earl took up the position as Style Director, one of the UK’s best loved brands has undergone a facelift which has seen trend driven pieces arrive on the shelves and welcome in a fresh new customer. When we spoke to Belinda before the show she told us why the catwalk had come to Manchester;
We’ve been supporters of the British Fashion Council who organise London Fashion Week for a long time and this season have become an Official Sponsor. We wanted to do something a bit different and find a way to take the buzz of LFW outside of the capital. We wanted it to reach more customers as well as showcase our own collections which are going from strength to strength. Manchester is such a strong centre with a great fashion heritage and culture and we have fantastic stores here so it seemed like the ideal city to run this with first.
She also told us about her top picks from the SS15 range which include; the A-line suede, the colour blocked stripe skirt, the pale pink trench, the kimono shape jacket with a broad fabric belt and the sleek shirt dress from the Uniformity story.
The full interview with Belinda can be read here.
On the catwalk, we saw some amazing pieces for the upcoming season, including jumpsuits, gorgeous LBD’s and statement prints. They’ve also vamped up their shoes and accessories (we we’re even treated to a gorgeous monochrome clutch from their Limited Collection!) There was also an emphasis on two piece dressing, giving you more options on how to wear their pieces over again!
Here are some of our favourite looks from the catwalk!
