Delphic took the stage last night for the first of three nights at MIF13. The mixture of world instruments with Manchester-based Delphic’s electronic alternative rock brought a refreshing new sound to their already unique compositions. You don’t have to be an expert in musical instruments to appreciate the dynamic variation and invigorating new angles the orchestra added to the tracks. The guys dressed smart in their white shirts, despite the heat, but looked quite reserved on stage; presumably because they were concentrating on keeping the new arrangements in hand. Sixty minutes was clearly not enough for the sweaty audience – as the lights came on they stomped their feet for more. You can still catch Delphic as they play the Pavillion Theatre again tonight and Saturday evening.
