As Manchester welcomes a new batch of students to the city MCR Student Social returns to 200 stores to entice shoppers with discounts and promotions. Taking place tonight, the city centre plays host to the event, so get down early and make the most of the deals whilst you can.
We reported last year on the activity around MCR Student Night Out so simply had to keep you informed of the plans for this years event. Organised by Manchester Arndale in collaboration with Manchester’s Business Improvement District (BID), the night takes place from 4pm-9pm and covers areas around Market Street, the Arndale, St. Ann’s Square, New Cathedral Street, King Street, Exchange Square and Deansgate.
Where to Shop?
Stores across all locations in and out of the Arndale are offering tempting discounts, with most offering between 20-30% off RRP prices. Levi’s and Gap are promising 30% off (some of the biggest discounts available).
Fashion brands are off course offering discounts to get your spending on style to see you through the term season, with brands including Accessorize, Burton, Dr Martens, Clarks, New Look, Ted Baker, Topshop, Pretty Green and many more making the most of the opportunity to make sales.
Savings aren’t just available on clothing though, other stores are getting in on the action and competing for your student loan pounds across the board of all products. Homeware brands naturally have much to offer newbies to Manchester who need to kit out their student digs accordingly. Clas Ohlsen and Baytree Interiors are amongst brands giving discount on the furniture front.
Phone service providers are offering slight discounts on contracts for those in the market for a new phone, O2, Three and Vodafone are all competing with savings on some sim only and handset deals.
