Manchester’s biggest student night out returns this Thursday 27th April to offer discount in over 140 designer, independent and high street stores across our great North West city.
Brands plan to entice students to part with their cash by discounting up to 30% of RRP on items across the board. Organised by Manchester’s Business Improvement District and the Arndale, the event promises more than just sale items, with pop-up street food, DJ’s and in-store entertainment. We’ve been told a few cheeky freebies might be present here and there too.
The event is sponsered by Capital FM, so you can be sure the tunes will be up to scratch, as well as UniDays; kings of the student discount across the nation.
Manchester Arndale is also playing host to reveal the winner of a student band competition, which have bands performing during the night and one crowned winner by an established panel of judges.
The Arndale has long been home to fashion in Manchester, housing a range of stores on an affordable scale. The building sits alongside Market Street, another retail hub which will be partaking in the event.
Stores including Paperchase, Ryman, H&M, Kurt Geiger, Topshop, New Look, Selfridges and Urban Outfitters, to name just a few of the reputable brands to bag money off.
Barburrito’s will be putting students to the test, with a giant game of Noughts and Crosses with the chance to win a bag of chips, whilst Byron Hamburgers will also be joining the fun and games by offering Giant Beer Pong (it’s all giant) to win some of their delicious burgers. Masters of live action games, Breakout will additionally be hosting pop-up games on Market Street.
More prizes can be bagged with Manchester Pride, by getting their hands on golden tickets from Spin the Wheel in exchange for food themed treats.
David Allinson, centre director at Manchester Arndale, said: “We have a range of fantastic brands that appeal to students, including big names like Topshop, Superdry, Levi’s and Dr Martens – who are all offering great discounts on the night. As well as huge savings there’ll be plenty of entertainment in the centre, including live DJs, Matt and Phred’s roaming brass band, and of course our student band performances throughout the night.”
