If you grew up in the 1990’s you’ll fondly remember sitting round the TV excitedly waiting for Crystal Maze to come on. Whilst those memories may seem distant and almost forgotten, those memories are about to be reminded as The Crystal Maze sets to bring a real life experience to our very own city.
The Crystal Maze have announced the 2017 launch of a brand new and improved Live Experience in Manchester, located in none other than Old Granada Studios, once home to many great television programmes such as Coronation Street, Cracker and The Royale Family. These gigantic film studios will be the perfect backdrop for the new, impressive Crystal Maze Experience – and there can’t be a better home than right next to the Rovers Return.
First brought to London after overwhelming demand from backers of Little Lion Entertainment, the Crystal Maze experience has offered people the opportunity to live the TV shows for themselves. A year after it’s initiation in London with huge success, Crystal Maze now makes it’s way to Manchester and we can hardly contain ourselves. Considering tens of thousands of participants have so far tried the London version, it’s advisable to snap up tickets quickly before they sell out.
Not arriving until Spring 2017, you’ll have a long wait until you get to enter the Crystal Dome for yourself, but eager fans can plan well ahead with official tickets going on sale from today.
The Crystal Maze Experience will be opening its doors in the very heart of Manchester at it’s extremely famous Granada venue, launching the incredible site with new and improved games, with bigger and better zones, being entirely different from the first site.
Tom Lionetti-Maguire, Founder of Little Lion Entertainment says a lot of things, and here’s another: “Every time I go to Manchester I fall in love with it a little a bit more. The people are great and the place just seems to be buzzing. I can’t wait to bring the show here, and I cannot wait for people to see what we will be doing – the venue will not be a surprise to anyone, but what’s inside most certainly will! I’ve often been asked if we would build another one and if so, where would it be. Where will the next Crystal Maze be? Well it could only be in Manchester!”
Judging from the photos and the London site, some of the zones made famous in the television show will be featured including Futuristic, Medieval and Aztec themes, with the traditional Ocean theme being swapped for Industrial.
Tickets for general purchase will be on sale from the 13th October 2016 and the first dates available start from April 2017 at www.the-crystal-maze.com.
