Spinningfields is the place to be this summer, with the new Lawn Club and Screenfields and now it is set to offer even more al fresco entertainment on The Lawns. They will be showing the first ever open air Shakespeare performances in conjunction with GB Theatre Company.
Two of Shakespeare’s greatest plays, Macbeth and A Comedy of Errors will be performed on The Lawns to an audience of 400 people in celebration of the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth.
The performances will take place over the 18th-20th July; Comedy of Errors will be on Friday 18th at 7.30pm and a matinee performance on Saturday 19th; Macbeth will take place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th at 7.30pm. Deck chairs will be available on a first come, first person basis but visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic blankets.
The GB Theatre Company was founded in 2010 and produces some of the country’s most spectacular open air theatre.
