The eagerly anticipated Festival No.6 returns this year for another weekend of acclaimed musicians and picturesque surroundings. Situated in the coastal resort of Portmeirion (of 60’s cult TV show ‘the Prisoner’ fame), there is a magical air to the place; with real life props of castles and greenery to look at as you enjoy a wide range of genres all night.
Two headliners have already been revealed in the form of Beck and London Grammar, to accompany already confirmed artists Martha & the Vandellas, Julio Bashmore and Neneh Cherry. London Grammar said of the festival “It’s a real honour to play Festival No.6 again. Portmeirion is a beautiful and somewhat surreal location. We can’t wait to perform there again!” There’s literally something to suit everyone’s musical taste. It’s not all about the music either, there’s more to enjoy with a heavy influence of art and culture, not to mention food prepared by Michelin starred chefs.
If camping’s not your bag there’s plenty of alternate choice of accommodation in the form of cottages, yurts, tipis and even castles. Anyone wanting a festival with a difference won’t want to miss out. The music acts will be performing across the entire site, by the whimsical Italianate architecture of the village, the historic town hall, piazza, Bristol Colonnade, the picturesque Estuary stage and the promenade along the River Dwyryd.
So for a chance to be a part of the magic, head to Festival No.6 for the full line up and info on where to get your tickets!
