British Military Fitness teams up with The Royal British Legion to host ‘The Poppy Run‘ – a series of charitable fun runs across the UK

The UK’s undisputed leader in outdoor fitness, British Military Fitness (BMF) has joined forces with The Royal British Legion to host a 5km fun-run in Manchester, this November. The Poppy Run offers a brand new opportunity for every one of all ages, to get up, get out and do their bit – whether you run, jog or walk the distance.
For the first time ever, on Sunday 6th November 2016, Heaton Park, will see hundreds of eager fun-runners raring to go at the start line for the exciting outdoor 5km Poppy Run, to raise money for the Legion. Supported by British Military Fitness, who is providing free fitness sessions to support participants in preparation for the occasion, the brand new family-friendly event will provide the opportunity for people to come together and raise vital funds for the Legion.

It’s a charity so close to our hearts as a brand, and also to our 400+ instructors across the country who are ex or serving military, many of whom have been supported in the past by the charity.
“The Poppy Run is a really great way for the whole family, of all ages and fitness levels, to get together to raise awareness and funds for what is such an incredibly important charity for all of us at BMF.”

Entrants will be encouraged to set up their own JustGiving.com pages to raise funds in the run up to the event, and there will also be an opportunity to make donations at the time of entry. An event t-shirt and a medal will be rewarded to all those who cross the finish line.
The Royal British Legion is the UK’s biggest Armed Forces charity, dedicated to providing life long support for the Armed Forces community – Serving men and women, veterans and their families. Money raised will help the Legion provide vital support to the Armed Forces community; including employment and housing advice, holiday breaks for those recovering from an illness or bereavement, and recovery support.
British Military Fitness is, aiming to inspire positive change in people’s lives by bringing them together to get active and healthy. There are over 400 classes every week, in 140 parks nationwide and can accommodate for all fitness levels.
