On Wednesday evening, STYLEetc hopped aboard the good ship of the Manchester PA Network, who were celebrating their 2nd birthday in spectacular style at Salford Quays’ striking Imperial War Museum North.
Founded by Melanie Sheehy, Amanda Barlow & Hayley Harthern in July 2011, the Manchester PA network is a not-for-profit organisation that looks to connect PAs across the city and bring its members together at fabulous events, held at Manchester’s most prestigious and impressive venues.
The three co-captains have recently been joined by Holly Moore of Make Events, who are the preferred event planning supplier for the Manchester PA network for 2013.
Together with Mailbox Express, the team delivered a fantastic event in the impressive first-floor exhibition space of Imperial War Museum North.
Over 100 guests were in attendance, entering under the imposing sight of a suspended harrier jet. Giant projections of maritime and seaside scenes were thrown on to the walls as a delicious three-course dinner was served, whilst a DJ spun a selection of summer tunes.
Top-class entertainment was also provided by the Bombshell Belles who sang an array of classics from the 40s and 50s, as well as vintage twists on modern chart-toppers, channelling the fun, flirty energy of jazz, big band and swing.
But as well as knowing how to throw a good party for its members, the Manchester PA Network is also a dedicated supporter of The Christie – Melanie, Amanda, Hayley and Holly were proud to announce that, this year, through donations and raffle tickets from its members, they have already raised more than £11,000 for the charity.
Two years on, the Manchester PA Network continues to go from strength to strength, forging connections and cementing new friendships between its many members.
The next event, inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany’s, hits Neighbourhood Restaurant and Bar in September.
