Are you ready for a burst of flavour and culture? Well, the first ever Cachaca festival is coming to Manchester with lots for you to enjoy.
If you have not heard of Cachaca before, it is a spirit which is particularly popular in Brazil and is made from fermented sugarcane juice. However, you may have heard of it from the popular cocktail ‘Caipirinhas’, along with sugar and lime. What more could you ask for during the Spring season?
The festival will be visiting Manchester on the 7th April 2018 where you can experience tasting, masterclasses, music, cocktails and of course lots of food.
Here is your chance to learn a lot more about the Brazilian drink. Representatives of the festival will introduce you to around 50 different of the spirit, so there is plenty for you to sink your teeth into.
It may surprise you to discover how the variety of brands are created, all differing through their production methods, the climate they are created in, the different regions, diverse ageing and cask approaches using native woods from South America.
If you are a cocktail fan, this is definitely the festival for you. What better way to start off the Spring/ Summer seasons then tasting delicious cocktails, and maybe even learning something new to take away with you to try at home.
