Manchester’s ultimate BBQ hotspot, Southern Eleven has officially reopened its refurbished space in Spinnigfields and celebrated its delicious new menu with a few close family and friends, Thursday night.
The long awaited refurbishment has been put into action to enhance and mix things up at the restaurant with a newly fitted kitchen, colourful brickwork, wall collages and a giant brown bear; great for taking pictures with.
Restaurant director Karina Hitchen expressed her excitement ahead of the re-launch:
“We can’t wait to showcase our updated space and celebrate our new season menu, the restaurant looks refined and refreshed and the food is set to impress!”
Southern Eleven was the first American BBQ restaurant to hit Manchester and has become a firm favourite among the city’s meat eaters and feasters since its launch back in 2010 with a popular selection of succulent, smoked and tender BBQ dish delights.
After four years of expert smoking, Southern Eleven’s creative kitchen team have turned BBQ cookery into an art form. Using locally sourced meats and flavoursome house rubs, the chefs then use their authentic Oklahoman wood burning oven to slow smoke each dish to tender perfection.
The delectable new menu is set to feature some faithful favourites such as the winner Chicken Dinner, Mac N Cheese, Corn Bread and the ever-scrumptious Burger Sliders.
New offerings to sample and enjoy include a selection of BBQ plates that combine succulent meats, juicy ribs, fries and slaw. Diners can also choose from Fried Chicken with Cajun sauce and garlic mayo, Quesadilla short rib burnt ends with spicy jalapeno and cheddar cheese or the Cowboy Pie with braised beef, BBQ beans and cheesy mash potato.
Southern Eleven is open seven days a week, from 12pm until midnight.
