Manchester band The Joint win Band of the Year

Beswick band The Joint were crowned winners of The Printworks Band of the Year competition. The band originally from Beswick, Manchester comprises of John Horrocks (Guitar/Vocals), Gary Horrocks (Bass Guitar) and Adam Cunningham (Drums)

With a huge fan base down to support them (who sang along with their anthem like tracks) they wowed the judges with a unique, powerful and tight performance.
Gareth Brooks from XFM said “I can easily hear their tracks being played on XFM”.
Adam Cunningham (drums) said “it feels amazing to have won The Printworks competition.Thank you for giving us this opportunity to play our next goal is to take over the world.”
The band explained they will be using the £500 cash prize to invest in valuable studio time. In the meantime they will keep up the hard work and continue gigging the circuit.

The other nine finalists were Beta, Rawcuss, Sketchline, Bob Dean, Rawcuss, Tyro, Missed you at the Show, Seven Car Pile Up and The Watchmakers.
