Head to the beach club parties
The parties in Ibiza aren’t just reserved for the nights, Ibiza is famed for its’ 24/7 party lifestyle. No matter what time you decide to come to the white island over the summer, there will be a party to be excited over. Celebrity haunt Ocean Beach Club is an outdoor party venue renowned for its’ daytime pool parties, aerial performers and decadent aesthetic. Standard admission starts from around 15€, but there is also an option to pre-book VIP beds and drinks packages if you are on the island for a special event or are after that luxury experience.
Sundays however, are reserved for Bora Bora beach club in Playa D’en Bossa. Boasting free admission all year round, Bora Bora offers the ultimate beach party experience with an impressive sound-system and reputable DJ performances that attract party-goers from all sides of the island. With the party in full swing from around 4pm and revellers spilling onto the sandy white beaches, the tradition is to head to super club Space later on – you can find promoters handing out wristbands close to Bora Bora for cheaper entry.
Take a boat trip to the island of Formentera
If you want to have a break away from the pool, a day trip to the Idyllic island of Formentera is highly recommended. Offering crystal clear turquoise waters and a secluded, relaxed atmosphere, the landscape of Formentera is more accustomed to the exotic islands of the Caribbean. A natural place of beauty relatively untouched by tourism, Formentera offers a slice of paradise that is perfect for snorkelling and pure relaxation. Ferries to Formentera leave multiple times a day from both Playa D’en Bossa and Ibiza Town all season long.
Watch the Sunset in San Antonio
The sunsets in Ibiza are a magical experience that can’t be missed. The Sunset Strip in San Antonio offers the prime location to enjoy a laidback meal or a few cocktails whilst watching the skies turn vibrant orange and the sun slowly dip into the ocean. For delicious food accompanied by breathtaking views of the sunset, Savannah Ibiza is a prominent feature on the Sunset Strip with an ample sized terrace to enjoy the scenery.
For more of a party atmosphere on the Sunset Strip, Cafe Mambo has been recognised on a number of occasions as the best bar in Ibiza. Explore Ibiza Town
Ibiza Town is the island’s capital city with a picturesque port overlooking the Mediterranean. The perfect place for an afternoon of exploration, the world’s rich and famous moor their super yachts in the marina providing plenty of photo opportunities. There are plenty of quaint cafes and restaurants overlooking the ocean that are perfect to enjoy some tapas and local dishes. Built on a rich tapestry of history, Ibiza Town provides the perfect setting for any culture vultures. Port Vila (meaning Upper Town) is a UNESCO World Heritage site situated on the hill of Ibiza Town. Making your way through the winding cobbled streets and Gothic buildings, the reward for hiking to the top is breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. A historical complex made up of cathedrals, museums and the famous Ibiza Castle, it is well worth bringing your camera along to capture the beautiful grounds and treasure trove of ancient artefacts.
Party at Ibiza’s Super Clubs
No holiday to Ibiza is complete without experiencing the legendary night life that the island is famed for. No matter where you reside on the island, you are never more than half an hour bus journey away from the world-renowned super clubs dotted around Ibiza. Despite what your music tastes may be, each super club offers various nights with a different atmosphere and music collections throughout the week to suit everybody’s party preferences. With the sheer variety of night life on offer, it’s best to do a bit of research to decide on the events you would like to attend each night; Ibiza Spotlight is a great place to start planning.
Big names on the Ibiza night life scene include the hedonistic stalwart Amnesia and glamorous party destination Pacha, which will both see the biggest and best names in music grace their decks for a truly unforgettable experience. Alongside the established super clubs, Ushuaia is an open air venue that has rocketed in popularity since opening in 2011 and has seen big names such as David Guetta, Avicii and Steve Aoki take up residency. For the ultimate clubbing experience, Space is the home of electronic dance music and offers five unique areas each night to enjoy.
