Its that time of year when many of us are preparing for our summer holidays and escaping to the heat of foreign lands. But before you go, here’s our top 5 holiday beauty hero’s to ensure you’re looking and feeling amazing on the beach and a gorgeous makeup bag to hold it all in.
Neal’s Yard Remedies, Remedies to Roll, £6.50
Perfect for relaxing you ready for a long flight, roll this mix of lavender and frankincense essential oil on your pulse points and immediately indulge into a calm state of mind. I used it before getting on a 10 hour flight and managed to sleep for 3 hours, while a friend used it before bed time and slept uninterrupted all night!
Eylure Lashes, £5.25
Every girls makeup bag isn’t complete without a set of lashes! Eylure’s new collection of Enchanted lashes are lightweight and easy to apply. Wear ‘Poise’ for a natural day time look and vamp it up at night with ‘Charm’
Clarins Suncare, from £17.50
Clarins have developed a bespoke suncare prescription to ensure you are protected by its UVA and UVB filters, in a range from SPF 15 right through to 50+, as well a range specifically for children.
We recommend the Sun Control Stick for you face as it gets in those hard to reach places and prevents your face from frying under the sun! When you get back, be sure to use their new After Sun with Self Tan! It leaves your skin hydrated and makes your holiday tan last longer! I’d recommend applying it once or twice a week as can build up quiet quickly.
PurePotions, £4.95 each
This little tins of potion are like actual magic! They are 100% natural and safe for use on babies. As someone who burns easily and going to a hot country, I tried the Lavender and Tea Tree Salve’s. The Lavender has a very subtle scent and works overnight on those burnt patches, however, if you burn large areas, it can be quiet hard to cover as the salve is really thick and solid. Maybe a roll on would work better? Secondly the Tea Tree Salve, again lightly scented, it instantly took the sting out of my bites! I applied it between 2-4 times before the bite was completely gone.
Clinique Colour Pop, £16
I love Clinique’s Colour Pop lip range! It’s luxurious and lightweight, as well as being saturated with colour! The built in primer will also make sure that it stays looking great from pool side to bar. I love ‘Melon Pop’ as its the perfect coral colour for your holiday and it makes you look browner!
Charlotte Tilbury Makeup bag, £32, Selfridges
This gorgeous limited edition bag is part of the Charlotte Tilbury X Norman Parkinson range and features the beautiful Jerry Hall; an image that was shot for British Vogue in 1975 in Jamaica. The makeup bag is perfect for keeping all your holiday essentials in and a great poolside accessory!
