Sunday May 4 through to Sunday May 18 sees an exciting food festival arrive at Harvey Nichols Manchester.
The store will be holding a huge range of exciting and delicious events throughout the fortnight, including a variety of masterclasses, menus and afternoon teas. May 4th marks the beginning of the festival, with an exclusive menu at the Second Floor Brasserie, featuring a selection of the best that Harvey Nichols has to offer, with the option of two or three courses, priced at either £15.95 or £19.95, available throughout the course of the Restaurant Festival.
The delectable events continue on May 5th, with a trip to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the Second Floor Restaurant for an afternoon tea, complete with selection of scrumptious treats inspired by Roald Dahl’s classic book, including mini umpa lumpa scones, pink cream soda with jelly drops and blueberry cheese cake! There will also be a screening of the film at 4pm.
Other in store events include the Food and Drink Quiz and Dinner at the Second Floor Brasserie on Wednesday 7th presented by the city’s well-loved food critic Manchester Confidential’s Gordo. The evening, priced at £25 includes a three course meal, and the evening is a must for any food lover ready to test their knowledge.
If champagne is more your taste, the exquisite Veuve Clicquot five course tasting dinner held on Friday 16th cannot be missed. With a host of sumptuous dishes including Goosnargh duck, fennel and vanilla creamed potato, paired with a well suited glass of luxury Veuve Clicquot champagne, the evening will be overseen by Moët Hennessey’s Alex Gamble, as he gives us an exciting insight into the champagne as it is served.
Alongside these delectable menus, the store is also hosting a variety of cocktail master classes in the Second Floor Bar. Themes of the masterclasses include “A Brief History of Rum” and “Guilty Pleasures” and are coupled with either a three course dinner (Friday May 9th and Friday May 16) or a heavenly Bucks Fizz brunch (Saturday May 10 and Saturday May 17). These masterclasses and menus are priced between £40-45.
