The new store sees the creation of 20 new jobs and officially opened  its doors on 23rd August, just last week. Ahead of the brand’s hotly anticipated London flagship opening in September, the Chester store will be the retailers 42nd location and was designed by London and Miami-based designers Argent whose international projects include luxury residential, super yachts, private jets as well as upmarket retail.

The ground floor houses a luxury fashion and footwear destination and an imposing staircase leads up to a sprawling contemporary fashion floor. There’s an eclectic mix where original Tudor architecture remains and is juxtaposed with ultra-modern fixtures and luxurious fittings. The lower ground floor houses an exclusive womenswear offering in an intimate feminine space. Atmospheric mood lighting throughout provides an intimate feel with concrete and brass trim providing a modern luxury look. FLANNELS Chester will also debut the brand’s innovative Style & Collect service. Style & Collect enables a luxury shopping experience on and offline by marrying the convenience of click & collect with FLANNELS’ premium shopping environment. Shoppers can purchase online and have their order delivered to their nearest FLANNELS location, where their pieces will be ready to try on in one of FLANNELS’ luxury changing suites, with assistance from the brand’s trained fashion advisors.

Jack Bridges, Partner at Argent Design said: “For FLANNELS Chester, we wanted to create a modern retail environment that injected the brands contemporary DNA into the space while being sympathetic to the original building and its features. We created a three-story vertical link to open and connect the space and allow natural light to filter in”.
