We headed down to Wales this weekend for the return of Festival No 6 where raincoats and ponchos were at the ready for a rainy few days of music.
Whilst the weather may not have been on form, this didn’t dampen the spirits of revellers, who turned out in usual Festival No 6 spirit full of chirp and energy. As the heavens opened guests were left fleeing every ten minutes to the nearest shelter, only to return outside once the skies cleared, then rinsing and repeating this routine throughout the day.
Six Star Style
This had clear affect on the fashion of Portmeirion’s guests as raincoats were the dominating clothing of choice. Music fans still managed to make statements despite being restricted in outfit choices by opting for bright colours and bold prints. Many a face sported the new trend of glitter make up, with sparkles sprinkled across cheeks and atop foreheads.
Headgear gave fruitful choices for festival fashionistas to express themselves, we spotted plenty of flower crowns and even some unicorn horns amidst the bucket hats and caps.
Wellies of course played heavy role in the footwear spotted, with Hunter Boots being firm favourites as per for a festival. Some guests bucked the traditional khaki designs and embraced metallic vibes with shimmering silver boots.
Doc Martens also made for popular wearing, always a solid choice for muddy climates, adding a grunge vibe which never dates to even the safest of attires chosen. For those wanting a daintier style, a hybrid of Chelsea Boots and Wellies made for compromised style, offering the sturdy rubberised texture whilst avoiding the bulky fit wellingtons usually come with.
Hairstyles offered plenty of inspo, with intricate braids and pastel dyed dos spied across the crowds by our team. It’s thing we love about festivals; achieving that balance of ‘couldn’t care less’ with ‘extra’ attitude, which if nailed means you’re on to a winner in the festival fashion stakes.
