House of Fraser has just announced that it will be supporting the charity Suited & Booted who provide donated interview clothing and job interview advice to vulnerable, unemployed and low income men in London. These men maybe long-term unemployed, homeless, ex-military personnel or in recovery from mental health problems and ensure that these men look the part for the interview.
From Sunday 17th August to Saturday 20th September, as part of a nationwide drive, House of Fraser is offering £100 off a new suit when customers donate their unwanted suits! Sounds like a great idea! Donation banks will be situated at till points on the menswear department for you to drop of your suit.
Emily Cowburn, Junior Buyer at House of Fraser, said; “We are absolutely delighted to be supporting Suited and Booted which provides such a valuable, and in many cases life changing, service to so many people. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to visit their nearest House of Fraser store to donate their old suits. Even if you have an old suit and are not looking to buy a new one, you can provide a fresh start for someone in need, and all it takes is one small donation.”
Dr Maria Lenn, from the charity said “Suited & Booted is delighted to be part of a national campaign that will help us get our vulnerable clients into work. Donating a suit can really give these men an opportunity to change their life and we thank House of Fraser for their wonderful support.”
So while you’re clearing out your suits, why not ask your partner, mum or sister to have a clear out of their wardrobe too? Why? Because Dress for Success is based behind House of Fraser and similar to Suited & Booted, they provide unemployed women in Manchester with the clothes and tools needed to get back into work. They are always looking for quality donations (as well as volunteers) to help disadvantaged women get back to work across the city!
