Though we are in the middle of the summer season, the STYLEetc fashionistas are already drooling over the Autumn-Winter campaigns of fashion power houses which are already filling all major magazines hitting the shops.
Our fave? Without doubt, we have fallen in love with Mulberry’s AW12 ad campaign which sees photographer, Tim Walker, capture model Lindsey Wixson roaming around the woods in a dreamy setting, complete with two gorgeous Gruffalo style woodland creatures.
“Tim’s work is like a series of fairytales, single images with a strong, rich narrative and just the right mix of charm, romance and darkness: he’s a kind of alchemist and working with him is like being part of one of his fairytales. The campaign shoot, deep in the woods, surrounded by monsters and the doll-like Lindsey Wixson, was a magical experience that perfectly brought our Autumn/Winter season to life.” states Georgia Fendley, Mulberry Brand Director.
We love the new handbag collection but love even more the fun and creative side of fashion that Mulberry has captured with this shoot.
Following closely is Parisian fashion house, Lanvin, who have featured “real people” in their AW12 campaign images. Amongst the ad’s stars are octogenarian dancer Jacquie Murdock, a lilac-fringed woman posing on a chaise lounge. The diverse campaign was shot by Stephen Miesel in New York, and is set to debut in the September issues of fashion magazines worldwide.
Get ready for what you will be seeing very soon on billboards in the streets and posters in the train station and choose your favourites for the upcoming season.
