Science behind the Scent
Not just exploring what people preferred from own choice, the report assessed the science behind smells and what we find attractive. Research results proved that women were more prone to aromatic scents including wood and spice. On the contrary, when selecting the ideal scent for men, women chose more clean and fresh fragrances. Findings on the scientific side at least may surprise readers who were certain the top notes of scent would be floral-related, instead women are choosing the more masculine versions when asked directly.
Further delving into results showed women voted odour in a partner one of the most vital factors in attraction (be sure to get your scents sorted gentlemen). The report even suggests that a woman’s smell can raise testosterone in men, showing just how important perfumes and natural odours can be within building relationships.
Don’t be swayed by others opinion, it seems the confidence in finding your signature scent has power of it’s own as findings proved choosing your own perfume can double your sexual attraction, perhaps adhering to the old mantra that a woman who knows what she wants is most attractive?
