Mermaid appreciators prepare to fall in love with the latest Pastelluxe Eyeshadow Palette by Mac. Our Editor has independently reviewed this product for your benefit looking at value for money and most importantly lasting wear.
An impulse Christmas buy, the Pearlfusion Palette caught attention with it’s shimmering finish and divine selection of colours, available in a variety of combinations.
The colour selection is subtle, certainly not to be confused with brighter offerings by the likes of Urban Decay. As this particular shade suggests, Pastel is the agenda of hues to mix and match as your end-look desires.
Packaged to the usual standards of mac in a statement black patent case, the shadows show through a small box window to the front with the signature branded font visible from the off.
Compact for a palette of 5, this set easily fits in the average bag. Perhaps a little big for a mini-bag or clutch, but standard party goers and night owls will appreciate the variety to be taken on the go.
The hues noticeably glisten in the light upon inspection, drawing excitement and anticipation for what results can be gleaned from applying.
Application itself is straightforward, the powder breaks up easily, which can be tricky to not overload your brush, but if caution is taken to lightly dust you’ll have no trouble.
Once applied to the eyelids, the shades are very subtle, making a nice compliment to fading out separate bolder hues but particularly successful for creating a feminine look which is understated but fashionable. The glitter catches the light for an added sparkle to your look and the range of hues gorgeously compliment one another to combine definition with shading.
