At the end of May, Benefit Cosmetics did a flash sale of their shiny new brow collection and at the end of June the products were made available permanently. I managed to get my hands on two pieces from the collection, Precisely, My Brow Pencil and Ka-BROW!
Precisely, My Brow Pencil- £18.50- Benefit Cosmetics
Benefit describes this product as an “ultra-fine brow defining pencil” and I would agree as once you have twisted up the product, the pencil itself is very thin which is perfect for replicating natural-looking hairs. The shade I got in both products was number 1, the lightest, there are 6 shades in total for each of the brow products and on the Benefit website there is a handy guide to help you select the right shade for you.
The pencil is double ended with a built in spoolie-brush at the opposite end and is also waterproof. Typically I use this pencil to add extra definition after I’ve used Ka-brow to map out the desired shape of my eyebrows but it can be used on its own to achieve a more natural filled in brow. I found this product very easy to use and control, the pencil itself was quite soft and the colour pay off was excellent, it matched perfectly to my natural eyebrow colour.
Ka-BROW! is a cream-gel product that you apply using a little angled brush that comes in the twisted lid of the jar. The colour pay-off is strong yet buildable and a little goes a long way! As stated above I use this product to map out the shape of my brows before filling them in to make them have a stronger appearance before finishing off with the Precisely, My Brow Pencil for more definition.
This product, as stated, is buildable so you can start off with a more subtle natural look then add more drama. This is definitely a plus point as it allows you to be in control of how bold you want your finished, desired look to be. I found this very easy to use considering I had never used a product like it before. Again this product is also waterproof and 24 hour wear, I even wore mine in the shower and it did not budge!
Embarrassingly after previously using a tiny, mostly blunt, eyebrow pencil for the good part of 2 years, these products were definitely a step up! I was honestly a little skeptical to try anything else due to the fact I’d grown comfortable with that little pencil but Benefit have such an amazing track record when it comes to eyebrows I thought I’d be stupid not to give these products a whirl!
Although it was daunting to use something new, they were extremely easy to use and controllable, they even come with little Tips and Tricks booklets. I have added a before and after photo of my eyebrows using both the products above, I could not recommend them enough and urge you to try them along with other products in the collection. Well done Benefit- 10/10!
