Get ready for a blast from the past or a glimpse into the future as Camp Bestival, the UK’s most loved family festival, returns to Weston Park, Shropshire (15 – 18 August 2024) with a thrilling theme: Time Travel. For four days of amazing family fun, festival goers can choose their own adventure and explore different eras and dimensions at the stunning Weston Park.
Following the success of last year’s spectacular fancy dress party, Camp Bestival Shropshire, the dazzling sister event to Dorset, is giving festival goers the freedom to pick their own period with its ‘Time Travel’ theme for 2024. Campers can travel through time and space as they board their own time travel machine for a unique fancy-dress festival experience at Weston Park.
Whether it’s a past hero or a future vision, families are invited to unleash their creativity and embrace this years’ time bending theme.
Talking about the theme reveal, Camp Bestival curators Josie & Rob da Bank said:
“Since the dawn of time and the Big Bang or however we landed up here on this amazing planet of rock, gas and water we’ve been fascinated by time and history and Josie and I have been so excited about unveiling the sheer amazing breadth of choice of time immemorial… from cavepeople to astronauts, from explorers to Kings and Queens, from inventors to vintage pop stars and just about every single person who’s ever been born its a MASSIVE theme …so take your time as a family and think about all those millennia and centuries of characters and get building your place in time!”
As per tradition at Camp Bestival, there will be a huge fancy dress contest on Saturday 17 August where one lucky family will win tickets to Camp Bestival 2025. Camp Bestival Shropshire will host another sparkling line-up of stars to the fields for 2024 as the full list of amazing acts will be revealed in the next few months.
Throughout the festival site there will also be a lot of free activities based on the theme. Camp Bestival Shropshire takes place 15 – 18 August 2024 at Weston Park and Camp Bestival Dorset takes place 25 – 28 July 2024 at Lulworth Castle.
