We may still be seeing some sunny days, but don’t be fooled… the clocks have gone back and Christmas is just around the corner! Time to start thinking about not when, but where to eat drink and be merry during the forthcoming festive season. There have been many new restaurant launches in Manchester in the past couple of months, but holding it’s own amidst the celebrity and Michelin-starred chefs popping up all over town is City Cafe.
Occupying a stylish corner of the Doubletree Hilton, this unassuming restaurant has steadfastly outlived the incarnations of the hotel itself, remaining a favourite destination for those in search of a sumptuous dinner in quietly elegant surroundings. We were lucky enough to sample the Festive Lunch Menu recently and were impressed by the quality of the food and presentation, coupled with the affordability of the menu.
The City Cafe Christmas Menu will be served during lunchtime and evening from 25th November – 23rd December. Priced at £21.95 and £24.95 respectively, for 3 courses plus coffee and mince pies.
