On Thursday 10th October, Vogue Fashion’s Night Out comes to Manchester. For one night only the city will be transformed into a catwalk with fashion shows, beauty treatments, surprise celebrity guests and exciting food to soak up the array of drinks that will be on offer throughout the night. The event also coincides with the Harvey Nichols Manchester store’s 10th Birthday as the go to place for fashionistas from Manchester and beyond! Their celebration plans are being kept top secret and hush hush at the moment, but we expect some very special and exciting going’s on at the store!
Selfridges Exchange Square will be giving away complimentary gift cards(while stocks last.), loaded with mystery amounts from £1-£500! Mac make-up artists be on hand to offer tips and tricks, and visit the Illamasqua nail bar for a speedy ‘Paint, Polish and Shape,’ so that you are ready for your ‘Selfridges Selfie’ in their very own photo booth. Pop up food carts will also be on each level providing tasty treats such as vodka snowcones, crepes and mini donuts. Keep an eye out for the ‘hot men’ serving mini bottles of Prosecco, whilst DJ Jameela Jamil will be spinning tunes on the decks.
Manchester Arndale also have lots of events, competitions, goodie bags, and giveaways lined up to keep you entertained. There will be a moving fashion show showcasing AW13 styles, choreographed by Steve Aspinall. Free mini-makeovers will get you ready for your very own magazine cover shoot. There will also be a pop-up bar serving ‘mocktails’ and YO! Sushi will be serving food from their mobile sushi stand in Exchange Court. High street favourites including Topshop, Kurt Geiger, Dune, Next and Office will also be joining in on the night, with celebrity stylists providing inspiration for the season ahead and lots of competitions, makeovers and discounts.
From it’s almost hidden location in Spring Gardens, sandwiched between Market street and King Street, designer haven Hervia Baazar have partnered with award-winning chinese restaurant Yang Sing, Whitley Neill Gin, Tsingtao Beer, Tequila Rose Liquor and Lamb’s Navy Rum to create an exciting luxury food and fashion experience for shoppers who can browse collections from the likes of Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons, and the Rick Owens Y-3 collaboration. Visitors to the store will have the chance of winning a fashion, food and drinks prize worth over £500!
In House of Fraser on Deansgate, Dior will be on had to ensure you are red carpet ready with makeovers and you will receive a complimentary photograph as a keepsake of FNO. There will be a pop up Bem Brazil where you will be able to sample their exclusive Fashion Night Out cocktails and the award winning Cicchetti Restaurant will also be changing its name and menu for the evening. Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli will also be serving up a taste of fashionable, limited edition dishes from the ‘Vogue Cafe’. (To make a reservation call 0161 839 2233). House of Fraser will also be exhibiting some of Vogue’s most iconic cover shoots, which will provide clues to the Fabulous Fashion Treasure Hunt, while celebrity DJs will play music throughout the night.
Celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke is hosting a champagne reception at his salon on The Avenue in Spinningfields and will be on hand to answer any of your hair queries. While you are in Spinningfields, why not pop into Mulberry where you can enjoy champagne and canapes as you browse the new collection and listen to live music whilst having an Essie manicure. You will also have the chance to meet designer Matthew Williamson at the Flannels store in Spinningfields where he will be chatting with shoppers about his AW13 collection.
Once the shops close at 10pm, the after-party begins at the Malmaison hotel in Piccadilly, where there will be a late night DJ and some special edition cocktails to keep you partying long into the night!
