TV Personality Katie Piper has launched a new fashion range with online retailer Want That Trend, providing a 36 piece collection to encompass her personal style.
Katie is best known for hosting Channel 4 show ‘Bodyshockers‘ and being the subject of personal documentary ‘Katie: My Beautiful Face‘ after sadly being subject to an acid attack, which was widely reported in 2008. Since her attack, Katie has undergone numerous operations and medical procedures and is seen as a role model to young girls who are self-conscious of their appearances.
Prior to her TV career, Katie worked as a model, which is apparent in the shoot for her new collection as she effortlessly advertises her range with ease.
The styles offered in the Want That Trend collection mostly encompass dresses and jumpsuit pieces, hued in dark or pastel shades to give good contrast. Ruffles are a clear favourite of Katie’s, with several dresses featuring a frill across the sleeves or hem. There are a few lace style blouses which adhere to the overall aesthetic of the range; feminine and pretty.
We see these styles befitting mums and young professionals alike, as the length of the skirts tend to be a little on the longer side. Many could be perfectly worn to garden parties or weddings, there is certainly a persuasion toward more summer prints, which are ideal for such occasions.
Based off of first impressions, we do wish some of the styles had been adapted to suit a younger market, as is common across the fast fashion industry, but the fits appear snug and the longer styles seem to still flatter petite Katie’s frame, a good indicator for customer concerns.
Our top pick of the collection is the Navy Diamond Button Chiffon Skater Dress, which offers semi-sheer sleeves, an elasticated cinched waist and high neck collar for a cute vintage meets modern result. This could be easily worn for the office or out and about, styled with heels and a small shoulder bag
The Katie Piper collections aims to fit a variety of women, offering sizes going from 6-24. To browse the collection visit Want That Trend online.
