When a popular fashion brand teams up with an authoritarian voice on style to create a bespoke collection, you just know the results will be desirable, which is exactly what we discovered at the #LookxGlamorous event this week.

Bringing together modish designs of Glamorous, approved by the Look Magazine style team, the collection offers an array of separates and dresses to appease fashion savvy twenty somethings.

Not ones to celebrate quietly, Glamorous invited shoppers to their Trafford Centre bricks and mortar store to survey the new collection and make an evening of it whilst there. Advertising, Fizz, Fun and Fashion outside store, the brand offered a winning formula for a successful launch, with plenty more going on inside.

Shoppers who decided to purchase the new Look collection were treated to a complementary goody bag, full of beauty and edible treats valued at £50+. Whilst browsing, attendees were entertained by uptempo remixes of chart toppers and offered a free glass of fizz to accompany their shop. Hairstylists from Saks were on hand to offer mini-makeovers, which could then be showed off in the photobooth, which offered free prints for those in store.

Reviewing the collection itself, its noted strong black hues and pastels are combined to create a select choice of key pieces to style out the remainder of summer, easily transitioning to a new season as required. Lace is featured in abundance, offering sheer sections to layer with ease and plenty of texture.

Floral detailing is a clear trend throughout, particularly strong in the multi-hue Pastel Bomber Jacket and Black Sheer Midi Dress. Other favourite pieces which stood out were the Dusty Blue Jumpsuit and the Black Crochet Jumpsuit, of which we spotted several attendees sporting on the night of the event.

The general consensus of the collection is Modern Romance, reiterating key looks seen across the SS16 catwalks and conveying them to a more affordable platform. The collection can be shopped either in store and online and focuses on a few hero pieces as opposed to offering mass selection.

Overall, the launch proved successful as we spotted shoppers exiting looking pleased with their purchases. If you are looking for versatile pieces, of which may complete a capsule collection, we recommend the LookxGlamorous collection and advise you to take a look for yourselves.
